New Year 2009...
Friday, January 16, 2009

2009...new year new 'home'... School started on 5th January and that was the new beginning of school experiences for Kamil as he is now in standard one at new school SKSI- Sekolah Kebangsaan Saujana Impian, Kajang. Same goes to Jaja and Nana with new school Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Saujana Impian. Their school are facing each other, meaning really convenient forr me to fetch them up. Kamil in morning session while the girls in the noon.

Kamil's first day was yet same experiences as the sisters...not much new things though.. Introductions from the principal, Assembly with the patriotism spirit were being adapt to each new students as these children are the hope of the future...

The exictement of new day at school for Kamil was a bit different as he is the first boy in the siblings and the father seem like to have more interest in preparing the boy to his first day at school...tying the tie, pray Subuh together, breakfast and checking the boys' need... Anak abah...Kamil is in class of 1 Utarid (Mercury)

As for Nana, 2009 is her new experience as hi school junior... New uniform, new friends, school and environment.. And after almost 2 weeks school started, she seem like to 'adapt' to the new environment, she has new friend Aina..also followed family that being transfered here from Rawang. So they are in same situation.. Nana is in class 1 Intelek.

Different with Jaja.. She is in form 2, meaning she is suppose to be 'senior' for afternoon session at the school but because this is new also new school to her, she has no friend in the beginning. It can really see from her look.. the long face all the time... Because of her result in the previous school, she is locate in 2 KRK 4 ( Kelas Rancangan Khas)

I really hope year 2009 will give us new bright and prosperous beginning in life as oneself or for the whole family. Of course for the good reasons; the kid's educations, the father's work and my personal 'passion' indeed..

On 13th November 2008, my second girl, Nana got her UPSR result. She got 4A 1B (english)..her hard worked paid off even though of course she was a bit upset because she can't maintain the family record..of getting 5A. I just hope this is the stepping stone for her to get better result in the future.. Don't give up Nana, you can do better next time..I know you can. Just don't let your feeling control you. With good courage, support and enthusiasm I know you can make me proud..

Refresh memories...in Johor Bahru
Wednesday, October 29, 2008

On early November 2008, all of my hubby's family members visited their ex maid, Kak Yah in Pagoh because she lost her husband few days earlier. She have been their maid since my husband was only five years old until his eldest brother's daughter..kak Yah took care of them. until one day she got married at her 40's and mama had lost her best helper ever..and they kept missing her till now. Sometimes she would gave us visit and vice versa...

My other family member shoot back to KL but my hubby and our kids drove down to Johor Bahru..just to have a glimps and have weekend day off there. We did give our kids a 'tour' of JB as we used to 'lepak' there for almost nine years after graduated from UTM in 1994. Its a refresh memories I call to the trip cause JB has change a bit from what we laft eight years ago. There are highways everywhere to reduce traffic jam at Skudai-JB route..

We stayed at Puteri Pacific at suite no 910 that we got discounted rate (recommended from Anwar's brother's friend which is 'staff' of the hotel). The kids was so excited especially the two boys, they bath at the bath tub as it a pool already even houghI told them they can go to the swimming pool..

After refreshing ourselves, six of us walk to Kotaraya..one of the shopping complex we used to go when we were in JB.and yet it still look the same, just minor changes here and there. The nice thing about Kotaraya is there are more malay visitors compare to other races as there are few places that suits each races like Holiday Plaza and City Square are famous with chinese visitors, bazar along sg segget are haven to Indians in Johor Bahru..and that time was just few days before deepavali and my kids witness how they went shopping from the hotel room as they can see from there quite clearly..

It's not complete going to JB if we're not visiting Anwar's uncle, Uncle Kamal (his mother's brother) at Kg Melayu Majidee..again another old malay residence area in JB.They are so so nice people, will entertain us no matter how busy they are and how exhausted they will be. I always love aunty Antin's cookings and now her daughter-in-law Lin is as good as her through time. Thank you so much aunty-uncle for your hospitality..

There will be chapter two..but this time Iskandar Open 2008, make us get back again..Golf fever is in the air!!

My wonderful life
Monday, October 6, 2008

Me and my hubby; Ahmad Anwar Mohd Sulaiman

My life is complete (for me of course) with lovely husband and four precious kids; two girls and two boys. Next year;2009 I will be celebrating 15th anniversary and feel grateful and of course proud of it. Well life is full of ups and downs, various kind of mood, expression and we might had different thought and quarrel here and there..that's marriage life; life of two people with different background being together for all reasons from bed to toilet problem though.. For me as long as the problem we faced can be solved in whatever way... I can accept it and go with the flow. And as long we are happy in the end, the rest doesn't really matter to me.

For almost last 15 years, I have gone through multiple colour of experiences. I thank to all the prayers from my families and in-laws...endless..

Now lets talk about my kids, Jaja, Nana, Kamil and lastly Faris. They all are special to me with their own way. I love them equally..that's a script of all mothers to their kids, their loved ones..

Eldest daughter Jaja and youngest son Faris

Second daughter Nana and 1st son Kamil

Nur Elina and Nurul Faeizah

Ahmad Faris and Ahmad Kamil

JAJA- NURUL FAEIZAH

My eldest daughter, Jaja, 13 years old.. She is my loyal listener to all my expressions, problems, feelings and almost everythings. She was a 'tough' little girl when I still working in JB when i have to send her to a baby sitter until 8pm almost everyday because of traffic jam. She has a heavy 'responsiblity' as she became a role model to her other siblings and yet she have fulfill that with flying colours...although sometimes she did make 'my blood go upstairs'..( i remeber one script by local actress..) Started with 5As in last year UPSR, being elected as school prefect ( not by application like some of her friends..) and I hope it will continues forever.. Go Jaja! Go Jaja

Jaja and Nasha

Jaja's friends; Farhanabila, Farhana and K ron

NANA - NUR ELINA

My second daughter Nana, 12 years old. Just sat her big exam UPSR and yet to know the outcome. She has done her best and lets hope for one as well.. Nana and Jaja are my two girls which I hope to be a graceful lady, beauty with the brain and most importantly ' anak solehah'. Nana could be a bit grumpy once in a while but other than that she is ok.. She has gone through those days when we don't have a car and traveled everywhere by bus or taxi. I still remember how Nana and Jaja used to enjoyed in the bus when we went back to Ipoh or KL.. Nana..your journey is still too far yet mama will guide you and others and we can share everything along the way.

People saying Nana looks like me..is she?..May be the look but not the height.. When I was her age my height already 5 ft 6 or 164cm.For me she is petite girl cause both myself and hubby are tall; I'm 170cm and hubby 185cm... But that is our Nana, for me she is my little girl always..

KAMIL - AHMAD KAMIL

My first son is Kamil, Ahmad Kamil b Ahmad Anwar.Kamil is 6 years old now, preschool at KAFA ( Kelas Agama Fardhu Ain).He is 6 years younger than Nana. I still remember the day I give birth to Kamil, Nana was in kindergaten and she was so excited to have a brother. But unfortunately on the day she've waiting for, she had chicken pox and she can't got closer to the newborn brother. Kamil looks like my hubby..people said he copycat his abah so much.

Kamil celebrated his 6th bithday ( 20th July 2002) with his school friends at KAFA. Adik Faris joined him cause he admire his brother so much and always wanted to go to school..like his bro.

Spider kamil in action!!

FARIS - AHMAD FARIS

My youngest son is Faris. He is 4. He may looks charming but he is more 'brutal' than the brother. Better don't mess with him.. but with soft talk he will 'melt' easily. He adore the brother so much as everything that the bro have he will have one too, even the stage or level in the game; playstation or computer game. Faris don't have my hubby's look like Kamil but more to my family side..my father to be exact. And seem he comfortbla with it cause when people asked him he looks like who, quickly he will answered " handsome like atok!" Hmm.. make others wonder how handsome the grandad is.. And admitted though my father is a handsome man even with his age 74 next year. I still remember my friend used to call him Rock Hudson Malaysia because of his look..Haha

Faris like to help me in the kitchen. He said want to be a chef when he grow up. well with lots of established chef around the world that make fortune just by cooking.. I have no objection if he wants to pursue the thoughts.. who Chef Faris will be a famous one someday..who know

This is their grandfather Mr Othman (my lovely father). See how handsome he is at his age..

DESIGN
Friday, September 26, 2008

Designing either interior or overall building (house most probably) have been quite a 'history' as I am now a full time homemaker. For some people might find it a 'waste' of life when you leave world of professional career to be with your loved ones 24-7.. though its a bit tough in the beginning some eight years ago when we first struck the millenium era, well its like a 'culture shock' to me because I used to be a busy architect firm's employee catching datelines, checking under construction sites which could be risking your safety for sure when you are the only lady there with all the foreign workers around you.

Since design have been part of my life before, no doubt it still are now but in different situation though. I still do the small part design to my friends and families. Furthermore my husband's family involved in this industry as they might need my views, opinions sometimes. Now my brother-in-law just graduated as an architect and he will taking over the 'tasks' from me by assisting our big brother with future projects. And I'll be their loyal critics ..

My husband and I like simple yet practical concept / architecture like above picture that we took at a golf resort nearby. We do appreciate old buildings with colonial era, eclyctic style or pre war architecture as they are suitable for that particular time. We like simple lines, geometrical shape but not circular or rounded. On top of that we dislike if too much square or lines on a design like those can be seen most of housing estate in Kuala Lumpur lately. We have our dream house which we will put all our efforts, loves and passion to it..one day we will.. Last few years my husband and I were involved with renovation of our friend's house and glad that they satisfied with it. It may look simple and one can say " I can do that..its easy!.." but the experiences along the way made us really enjoyed it with the owner that was very coorperative, understanding and gave all their trusts to us..
